Does this transcribe a video with no captions?
No. This tool reads existing creator captions or automatic YouTube captions. Videos without an available caption track cannot return a transcript.
What is the difference between TXT, SRT and VTT?
TXT contains plain readable text. SRT and VTT preserve caption timestamps for subtitle editors. You can also show timestamps before copying the on-screen transcript.
Can I choose another language?
Original language uses the video’s existing captions without requesting translation. You can choose another language, but YouTube may block auto-translated captions. Custom language codes are supported.
Are automatic captions accurate?
Automatic captions can contain mistakes in names, punctuation and speech recognition. Review the result before publishing or quoting it.
